Several weeks ago, app developer Panic released a new in/out office tracker called PunchClock. That’s right: The good old fashioned Time Clock is still a fixture at some businesses but hasn’t been seen in a generation in others. The PunchClock app, using iBeacon and iOS 8, allows business owners and employees to keep track of who’s in the office at all times (based upon an iOS 7 device entering the space), as well as message everyone who is marked as “In.”

The only problem is: It’s not really an app. It’s a feature the developers have created and placed on on GitHub so developers can play with it on their own apps.

Got us thinking: Are there some other Time Clocks out there? (We knew the answer would be yes, as there’s everything out there.) We asked some of our users about time-clock apps they might use and here are some they mentioned. However, no one was a big user of time clocks, or even timesheets. Have any you’d like to add? Suggest them in the comments below.

HoursTracker Pro

While it cost $7, this is probably one of the best time clock apps, revered by both Apple and LifeHacker. Aside from automatically calculating hours, payment, etc., HoursTracker Pro can clock employees in/out when then enter/exit a certain location.

iPunchclock

Great for employees who may be multi-tasking, iPunchclock can keep several timesheets at once. Export files to Google Drive, Dropbox or email in standard CSV or TSV formats. It’s the least expensive, but far-less recommended (currently no average rating) and automatic-clock-in-lacking version of HoursTracker Pro. $4.99

TimeClock ST

At 99¢, this app this is high octane time clock, allowing employers to use their iPhones, iPod Touches or iPads to keep track of multiple employees’ hours. Assign pin numbers to each and have them clock in and out. The data will then be mailed to your email address.. Downside: All of your employees must be in a centralized location.

Screenshot Monitor

And from the “Big Brother is watching Department” comes Screenshot Monitor. It takes random screenshots of what employees are viewing on their computer at throughout the day. For the professional package, it costs $6.99 per employee and takes 12 screenshots per hour.
