Introduction

Creating a how-to hint on SmallBusiness.com is easy. However, the experience you went through to gain your wisdom was probably a lot more difficult.

Steps

Pick a topic on which you have personal knowledge
Come up with a title that includes the key words users will search for
Go to the following page on SmallBusiness.com: HowTo: and name your how-to
Click the "create" button and you will be transported to a page that will allow you to fill in the blanks
Use the boxes on that page to write your hint

Tips

Do a search of SmallBusiness.com to see if there are other how-to hints that are just like your topic. You may want to edit or add to those instead.
Instead of writing you how-to directly on your browser, write it in a word-processing program. That way, you'll have a back-up in the unlikely event something goes wrong with you try to post it.
If you have a blog or website, add a link to your how-to hint -- remember, you're photo (if you have one on your User profile) will appear at the bottom of the page.
