Tuscaloosa SCORE is a local chapter of SCORE, "Counselors of America Small Business Owners," the U.S. association designated as a "resource partner" by the U.S. Small Business Administration and dedicated to helping small business owners form and grow their businesses. SCORE is comprised of 12,400 volunteer business counselors throughout the U.S. and its territories. There are about 364 SCORE chapters^[1] in urban, suburban and rural communities. SCORE was formed in 1964 and nearly 8.5 million business owners have utilized SCORE services.

About Tuscaloosa SCORE

Tuscaloosa SCORE provides free and confidential business advice and counseling tailored to meet the needs of individual small business owners and their personal objectives. It also offers workshops, for a modest fee, for both start-up and in-business entrepreneurs. SCORE volunteers are real-world professionals with time-tested knowledge who donate thousands of hours to help small businesses succeed. Tuscaloosa SCORE counselors are experts in such areas as accounting, finance, marketing, management and business plan preparation. They have assisted many clients in obtaining business loans.
