Kickstarter has created a javascript-astic parade of infographical stats and facts to announce that more than $1 billion in project pledges have been generated on the crowdfunding site, as of yesterday, March 3. Some of the astounding stats:

•  5.7 million people have pledged money to projects.
• Over half of the funds pledges, representing $500 million, were made during the last 12 months.
• 1.6 million+ users have backed more than one project
• Nearly 16,000 are active repeat users who each have contributed to more than 50 projects.
