Leading up to Veteran’s Day (11/11/2015), the Small Business Administration (SBA) is sponsoring National Veterans Small Business Week today through Friday, November 2–6.

What is National Veterans Small Business Week?

According to the SBA, National Veterans Small Business Week applauds the success of veteran entrepreneurs. It also lets transitioning military, veterans and their spouses and partners know about the SBA’s programs and services.

During the last year, the SBA provided technical assistance to more than 200,000 veterans and ensured more than $1 billion in capital for businesses owned by veterans and their spouses.

Events scheduled for the week

SBA district offices and related groups will host more than 100 local events, including:

  • Entrepreneurship training
  • Access to capital workshops
  • Franchising opportunities for veteran-owned companies
  • Small business development workshops for women veterans
