On Friday, WSJ.com’s Digits Blog reported that Amazon has been granted a patent for “anticipatory shipping” that uses data collected from historical purchasing patterns to stage products in distribution facilities in close proximity to customers the data predict will purchase the item.

But, wait! That sounds a lot like “Amazon Yesterday Shipping,” a shipping method that sounds even more anticipatory than anticipatory shipping that was explained last July in this video posted on YouTube created by the comedy group, The Biderbers.
