Today VentureBeat.com shed light on Pinterest’s planned (but not yet unveiled) advertising approach. Pinterest is starting small–they will start inserting random pins chosen by its software, based on users’ current preferences and items they have pinned previously.

The method will allow Pinterest to hone in more tightly to user interests. Soon, expect those pins to be sponsored.
