From the “it’s about time” department comes this tweet from Twitter announcing that the made-for-Gif service is finally supporting the format it was made for. As we included in our 2014 predictions (#7), “Short text with animated GIFs can say a lot with time to spare.”

In the coming days, we will be sharing with you several ways that GIFs can be a lot more than cat videos. We will demonstrate ways you can create how-tos and directions in a GIF format and bypass posting videos to YouTube.
