Okay, so Penelope (on Instagram, @TheRealPenelopeTong), our Small Business Pet of the Week, just happens to be our second fashion-model beauty in a row from New York. But don’t think it was her big lights, big city style that swept us off our feet.

Or, maybe it was.

Penelope’s a gentle and lovable white Samoyed who keeps herself busy helping to run Fohr Card, the fashion blog directory.

Penelope just celebrated her birthday on the 25th and is four years old (that’s 29 in human years). Her pet human, Rich Tong, founder of Fohr Card, is also the same age. Together they make a great working duo. For instance, Penelope usually prefers to work from underneath Rich’s desk most of the day on a bed of computer cables (we look for Pets of the Week with such unique traits).

Rich explained that Penelope’s leadership style is micromanagement.

She focuses on the little things, day by day, like greeting all Fohr Card employees as they come through the door and making sure to shed all over you before the end of every meeting.

Its simple. She can dress the part.

Like so many other talented pets who work at a small business, Penelope is great at multi-tasking.

If necessary she can easily become one of the most elegant dog-scarfs in Brooklyn.
